Rose Rowland and Co was founded in 2013 and today, we continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients alike.

Meet the team
Rose Rowland BSc(Hons) FCA
Rose Rowland developed the Practice in 2013. Prior to this Rose was a Partner at a Cheshire firm of Chartered Accountants for 11 years.
During this time, she took a lead role in developing the farming and rural business department, advising on specialist tax rules for farmers.
Rose is a farmer’s daughter, and she obtained a degree at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire. Following her degree, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999.
Rose now helps owner managed businesses with their accountancy and tax advice and also assists clients with using online cloud based accounting systems. Rose is enthusiastic and passionate about the work she does, together with being honest and trustworthy.
In her spare time, Rose enjoys spending time with her sporty children following them with their sporting interests of Horse-riding, Netball, Hockey, Rugby, Football and Cross country.
Kathryn Tipping BSc (Hons) ACCA
Kathryn joined Rose Rowland & Co in June 2019, gaining her Chartered Certified qualification in April 2021, and was made Associate Director in September 2023.
Prior to this she worked for over three years at another local accountancy firm after obtaining a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham.
Being a farmer’s daughter Kathryn has a keen interest in the agricultural sector and enjoys assisting clients with all their accounting and taxation requirements.
In her spare time, she enjoys helping on the family dairy farm, looking after her Brown Swiss cattle and going on adventures with her two dogs.
Jacob Hicks MAAT
Jacob joined the firm in 2016 straight out of leaving sixth form. He gained his Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification in 2021.
Jacob is our Assistant Manager and in his spare time, he enjoys watching sport and keeping active. He’s a member of his local hockey team and in the summer, spends his time on the golf course.
Will Haslam
Will joined the firm in September 2021 as our trainee accountant and is currently working to achieve his ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales. Prior to this, Will graduated the University of Leeds with a degree in Economics. Outside of the office, Will enjoys keeping active and watching sport, particularly rugby.
Stephen Broster
Stephen joined in February 2022 and is currently working to achieve his ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.
In 2021 Stephen achieved a degree in Pharmacology from Newcastle University. He also has a passion for cooking and baking which he has held since childhood.
Stephen comes from a farming family and is often called upon to help out grading potatoes or providing meals for his brothers when they’re working late in the fields.
Vicky Mainwaring
Vicky joined the team in July 2022. She has worked as an office administrator and personal assistant for many years and has lots of experience to offer Rose Rowland and Co.
Vicky has a Business and Management Foundation Degree from Manchester University.
She is our friendly face and voice of the firm and is your first point of call when anyone contact us.
Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and helps in the family business. Vicky also has a passion for travelling.
Kim Oultram
Kim joined the firm in April 2022 and handles all things payroll. Prior to this she had 14 years’ experience in payroll working within a large payroll bureau.
In her spare time, she enjoys theatre trips, reading and anything outdoors (to try and keep fit!).
